This award is open to any aviation-related organisation with a business operation on the island of Ireland, including airlines, airports, MROs, aerospace manufacturers, aviation service providers, training organisations, leasing companies, and aviation technology businesses. We are looking for organisations that, within the last 12 months, have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to creating a positive, inclusive, engaging and high-performing workplace culture. Entry is by a 5 A4 page submission; the judges will be looking for clear information, backed up by evidence, that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Employee Engagement and Workplace Culture: Describe how the organisation has fostered a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Provide examples of initiatives that have enhanced employee engagement, communication, collaboration, recognition, diversity and inclusion, and employee satisfaction.
  • Learning, Development and Career Progression: Outline the programmes and opportunities provided to support employee learning, skills development and career advancement. Demonstrate how the organisation invests in its people through training, mentoring, leadership development, apprenticeships, graduate programmes or other professional development initiatives.
  • Employee Wellbeing and Support: Describe the measures implemented to support employee wellbeing, including physical, mental and financial wellbeing. Judges will look for evidence of initiatives that promote work-life balance, employee health, psychological safety and a supportive working environment.
  • Attraction, Retention and Employee Experience: Explain how the organisation attracts, develops and retains talent in a competitive aviation market. Include evidence of improvements in recruitment, retention, employee feedback, staff turnover, employee advocacy and overall employee experience.
  • Positive Impact on Organisational Performance: Demonstrate how people-focused initiatives have contributed to the success of the organisation. This may include improvements in productivity, safety culture, customer service, innovation, operational performance, employee engagement scores, retention rates or other measurable business outcomes linked to workforce initiatives.
