Apprenticeship Programme Award

This award will go to the company working in Ireland’s aviation industry that has been offering a best-in-class apprenticeship programme over the past 18 months.

Entry is by a 5 A4 page submission; the judges will be looking for clear information, backed up by evidence, that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

Demonstrate Apprenticeship Programme: Demonstrate how the apprenticeship programme was developed and outline its objectives.

Overview: Provide an overview of how the programme has been implemented over the past 18 months, giving specific examples. Also, outline any challenges faced in the implementation process and how your team demonstrated initiative, creativity, and leadership to overcome them.

Demonstrate Business Benefits: Demonstrate the real business benefits of the programme, providing positive feedback (i.e., internal, or external stakeholders) where appropriate.

Demonstrate Programme Benefits: Demonstrate how the programme benefits the apprentice, providing positive feedback (via internal surveys or testimonials) where appropriate.

Evidence: Provide evidence of how you monitor and measure its success against the stated objectives.

Excellence in Training & Development: Provide examples where your organisation has gone beyond curricular requirements to facilitate the apprentices, including the number of hours per week devoted to training.

All entrants must submit a document of no more than 5 A4 pages that covers the key criteria set out for the category they are entering.

Before making your submission, please read the terms and conditions and ensure the following:

  • All activities cited in support of your entries must have been on-going within the past 24 months unless stated otherwise in the criteria.
  • The entering party has to have an office in the ROI or NI, and they must operate services into/out of/within the island of Ireland unless stated otherwise in the criteria
  • Make sure you focus on good hard information, backed up by solid facts and figures.
