Otto Aviation has launched its Phantom 3500 business jet, promising 60% lower fuel burn and 90% fewer emissions when using sustainable aviation fuel compared to rivals. Its secret lies in a seamless all-composite fuselage built by Leonardo, AI-supported aerodynamics delivering super-laminar flow, and windowless cabins with HD displays enhancing passenger experience while reducing drag. The nine-seater jet will cruise over 600 mph, cover 3,500 nautical miles, and operate at half the cost of competitors like the Challenger 3500 or Praetor 500. First flight is set for 2027, with certification targeted for 2030. Production will shift to Florida, backed by a $430 million investment.

Otto plans to use SQRTM manufacturing to automate and streamline carbon fibre component production, aiming for faster certification. With nearly $200 million already raised, Otto’s CEO sees the Phantom 3500 as proof that carbon neutrality and profitability can align well before 2050. For aviation leaders, it’s a bold statement: sustainability isn’t a nice-to-have — it’s fast becoming the business advantage.
