Nile Air, the Egyptian airline, has appointed India-based Aeroprime Group as its passenger general sales agent in the UK, effective 1 November 2026. The appointment gives the carrier a dedicated local commercial representative to build relationships with travel agents, tour operators and other distribution partners.
Nile Air is headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, and is the country’s largest private airline. It is an Egyptian joint stock company established in 2008 and operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft to around 25 destinations across Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
Aeroprime Group is headquartered in New Delhi, India, and provides airline representation, cargo management, sales and marketing services. It has a presence in more than 20 cities across over five countries.
Under the agreement, Aeroprime will manage passenger sales, travel-trade engagement and business development across the UK.
The structure follows a common distribution model. For airlines seeking to build business in overseas markets, general sales agent partnerships can provide a route to local trade engagement without requiring the carrier to establish a wholly owned sales operation.
“We combine local market insight with a focused sales strategy and collaborative partner engagement to deliver meaningful commercial outcomes for our airline partners,” said Abhishek Goyal, executive director and chief executive of Aeroprime Group. He added that the company would work with Nile Air to establish a foundation for longer-term growth.
Ahmed Oraby, chief commercial officer of Nile Air, described the appointment as an important step in developing the airline’s commercial reach in the UK. He said closer relationships with travel agents, tour operators and distribution partners would be central to efforts to increase sales and improve access to the airline’s services.
Aeroprime will draw on its airline sales and distribution expertise to identify potential revenue streams and increase access to Nile Air’s services among UK-based travel intermediaries. The announcement does not specify whether Nile Air plans to introduce additional UK flights as part of the agreement.
For the sector, the appointment shows carriers using local sales agents to widen distribution in overseas markets without building their own sales operations.
