Simtech Aviation expands UK training partnerships to enhance airline readiness

Dublin-headquartered Simtech Aviation, a specialist in simulator-based pilot training, has expanded its engagement with UK flight schools Aeros and Aviation Southwest to support students in the final stages of their commercial pilot training.

During visits to both schools, Wizz Air representatives provided students with detailed insights into cadet and First Officer entry pathways, sharing expectations and guidance on airline recruitment processes.

At Aviation Southwest, former student and current Wizz Air UK First Officer Joshua Funnell offered practical advice on APS MCC training, airline assessment preparation, and transitioning from flight school to the flight deck of a European low-cost carrier.

Simtech Aviation also confirmed a new partnership with Aviation Southwest, enabling graduates to access APS MCC and Dual APS MCC course pathways. These structured programs enhance modular training pipelines and align directly with airline standards, supporting Ireland’s position as a hub for European airline readiness.
