Riyadh Air appoints FlyUs to manage UK and Ireland sales

Saudi-based Riyadh Air has contracted FlyUs Aviation to provide General Sales Agent (GSA) services for the UK and Ireland as the airline commences daily Boeing 787-9 operations into London Heathrow. The agreement covers sales, customer support, and capacity management, with bookings processed through FlyUs’ local teams.

The airline, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), aims to connect Riyadh with 100 destinations by 2030. FlyUs, headquartered in Dublin, also operates a trucking network offering daily temperature-controlled transport across the Benelux and UK. This integration enables forwarders to link road and air services efficiently, supporting perishable, high-value, and e-commerce cargo flows.

In addition to GSA services, Riyadh Air has established other strategic partnerships to expand operations.

SATS Saudia Arabia has been appointed to manage cargo handling at the airline’s hub at King Khalid International Airport (RUH) and provide additional support at King Fahd International Airport (DMM) and King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED).

Unilode has been selected to supply and manage unit load devices (ULDs), ensuring cargo handling and storage operations meet international standards.

The collaboration positions Riyadh Air to scale commercial operations while providing integrated logistics support to key European markets. The airline’s launch into Heathrow marks an ambitious step for Saudi aviation expansion, enabling streamlined cargo and passenger services between the Middle East and the UK and Ireland.
