Industry NewsMidwest and Hexagone aviation upgrade pilot training
Midwest Corporate Air, headquartered in Ohio, has selected ALSIM for its pilot training needs, acquiring an ALSR G7 simulator as reported by Asian Aviation.
The simulator replicates the Cirrus SR Series G7, including the SR20, SR22, and SR22T, offering certified training and familiarisation for Cirrus aircraft.
Steve Buchenroth, CEO of Midwest Corporate Air, said, “We chose ALSIM for the ALSR G7 because their reputation for accuracy and reliability is unmatched, and the use of real Garmin Perspective Touch+ avionics was essential for us to deliver truly representative Cirrus training. The fact that Cirrus Aircraft themselves trust ALSIM to supply simulators to their own bases confirmed that ALSIM was the right long-term partner for Midwest Corporate Air.”
The simulator features a fully integrated Garmin Perspective Touch+™ avionics system, GDU 1450W 12” displays, GTC585, GFC700 autopilot, and a GMA 350C® digital audio panel. It also simulates the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), providing an immersive learning environment aligned with real-world operational standards.
In France, Hexagone Aviation School in Beauvais has ordered two new Tecnam aircraft—a P-Mentor and a P2006T NG (Next Generation). The P-Mentor is an IFR-certified, two-seat single-engine trainer, while the P2006T NG is a twin-engine aircraft optimised for efficiency and training versatility.
Bernard Binet, Hexagone’s Accountable Manager, said, “The integration of Tecnam aircraft into our fleet constitutes a major asset for our operations. Their modern design and performance will create an optimal environment for our students and support the excellence of our training programs.”
Tecnam Sales Manager Pasquale De Rosa added, “This investment in the P-Mentor and P2006T NG demonstrates their commitment to providing students with the safest, most efficient, and technologically advanced training platforms available.”
