Irish Colleges Training Centre launches cabin crew training programme in Limerick

Irish Colleges Training Centre (ICTC) in Castletroy, County Limerick, is offering an internationally recognised NCFE Certificate in Introduction to Cabin Crew to aspiring aviation professionals, according to I Love Limerick.

The programme equips participants with essential skills for careers in the aviation and airline industry, enabling graduates to travel, discover new cultures, and engage with diverse communities.

Glen Anderson, ICTC Managing Director, stated the qualification enables graduates to progress and apply for successful careers within the aviation industry and is recognised by both European and international airlines. The qualification is designed for a range of learners, is open entry, and does not require a Leaving Certificate, making it ideal for career changers or school leavers.

The programme is an OFQUAL-regulated qualification recognised internationally. Participants develop understanding of the cabin crew role and work involved, including coordinating safe flights, preparing cabins, boarding passengers, performing safety procedures, and managing emergencies. The course includes a visit to Shannon Aviation Museum, where students explore different aircraft types and experience flight simulator sessions.

Anderson noted the programme achieves a 90 per cent employment rate, with learners working with European and international-based airlines. The organisation features state-of-the-art facilities, with the programme providing opportunities to travel and see the world.

Graduate Molly described the programme as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that gave her a career step up. She has been flying with EasyJet, based at London Gatwick, for the past two years.

The course is delivered multiple times throughout the year on Saturdays to avoid impacting participants' weekday work, school, or college commitments. The upcoming course commences 7 March 2026, with limited places available.
