ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia wins Vietnamese authority certification for Gulfstream G650ER maintenance

Malaysia-based ExecuJet MRO Services has obtained certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to perform line and base maintenance on Vietnam-registered Gulfstream G650ER ultra-long-range business jets, extending the company's approved maintenance scope across one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing business aviation markets.

According to Aviation Business News, the certification covers maintenance checks up to and including 4C or 48-month inspections, as well as scheduled engine maintenance, repairs, non-routine work, and removal and replacement of engine accessories on the aircraft's Rolls-Royce BR725 powerplants, in accordance with manufacturer and CAAV-approved data.

Ivan Lim, regional vice president Asia at ExecuJet MRO Services, said the certification enhanced the company's ability to support Gulfstream G650ER operators in Vietnam with reliable, in-region maintenance services. "Vietnam is an important and fast-growing market for business aviation in Southeast Asia, supported by the country's strong economic growth as Vietnamese companies work to expand their business across the country and internationally," he said.

The approval provides Vietnam-registered G650ER operators with access to heavy maintenance capability without the need to reposition aircraft to more distant MRO facilities, reducing downtime and associated ferry costs.

The Gulfstream G650ER is among the most capable ultra-long-range business jets in operation, with a maximum range of approximately 13,890 kilometres at Mach 0.85, making it a preferred platform for high-net-worth individuals and corporate operators across the Asia-Pacific region.

Vietnam's business aviation sector has expanded steadily in recent years, supported by strong GDP growth and increasing corporate activity. The country's growing pool of registered business aircraft has created demand for certified in-country MRO capacity across both line and heavy maintenance categories.
