Dr Viktoriia Ivannikova brings global expertise to Aviation Industry Awards 2025
Dr Viktoriia Ivannikova, Judging Coordinator for the Aviation Industry Awards 2025, is an Assistant Professor and Programme Chair for the BSc in Aviation Management at DCU Business School, where she plays a leading role in shaping Ireland’s next generation of aviation professionals.
With a career spanning both academia and industry across Ireland and Ukraine, Dr Ivannikova has made significant contributions to aviation education and research.
Before joining DCU, she served as Associate Professor in Aviation Management, Director of Education in English, and Course Director for the BSc and MSc in Air Transportation Management at the National Aviation University of Ukraine.
Her academic achievements are complemented by her position as External Examiner for the MSc in Airport Planning and Management at Cranfield University in the UK. A PhD holder in Air Transportation Systems, her research focuses on the impact of geopolitics on aviation, sustainable airport design and operation, and digital transformation in the aviation sector.
Dr Ivannikova is a member of several editorial boards for leading international aviation and transport journals and has authored four books and numerous peer-reviewed papers. Her leadership and global perspective make her an invaluable member of this year’s judging panel.
