Acron Aviation acquires Trakka Systems to expand OEM solutions

Acron Aviation has completed the acquisition of Trakka Systems, an Australian company specialising in electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) imaging systems, airborne cameras, and video mission management solutions. Trakka will continue operating under its own brand while leveraging Acron’s global network to reach additional OEMs and end-users.

The deal, Acron’s second since becoming privately owned under TJC earlier this year, enhances its capacity to deliver line-fit solutions for helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, UAVs, and maritime platforms. 

Trakka’s products address over 15 mission objectives spanning military, government, emergency response, law enforcement, fire protection, utility infrastructure, and commercial aviation.

Trakka operates from facilities in Melbourne, Australia; Arla, Sweden; and Bradenton, Florida. Acron, which supplies OEM-certified avionics, simulation technology, pilot training programmes, and flight data analytics, can now integrate Trakka’s mission-critical systems into its broader aviation solutions portfolio.

Acron CEO Alan Crawford highlighted that Trakka’s technology complements Acron’s existing offerings and strengthens its position as a partner to global aviation operators and airframe manufacturers. Trakka CEO Peter Rudaizky added that the acquisition opens access to new markets and extends the reach of its integrated systems to more customers worldwide.

The acquisition comes shortly after Acron opened a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul centre in Bangalore, India, to support aviation operators across the Asia-Pacific region. The combined capabilities of Acron and Trakka are expected to accelerate delivery of advanced OEM solutions while expanding service coverage for international aviation operators.
