ABL Aviation has delivered its seventh aircraft this year to Copa Airlines, a Boeing 737-8 MAX powered by CFM LEAP-1B27 engines. The delivery supports Copa's ongoing fleet modernisation strategy, with one additional aircraft due before the end of the year completing the current delivery series.

ABL Aviation is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, and was founded in 2014 by Ali Ben Lmadani. The firm is a global independent aircraft asset management company that has deployed more than 5.9 billion dollars in capital and manages assets exceeding 6.6 billion dollars across a portfolio of 108 aircraft, with offices in Dublin, New York, Casablanca, Dubai, Hong Kong and Tokyo. The firm structures and manages aircraft investments for institutional investors, focusing on new-generation and mid-life commercial aircraft.

Copa Airlines is part of Copa Holdings, headquartered in Panama City, Panama, and listed on the New York Stock Exchange (ticker: CPA). For full-year 2025, the group reported revenue of 3.62 billion dollars (3.10 billion euros) and net income of 671.6 million dollars (575 million euros), ending the year with a fleet of 125 aircraft. Copa operates its Hub of the Americas network from Panama City, connecting North, Central and South America.

The Boeing 737-8 MAX continues to play a central role in Copa's fleet strategy, offering improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions and enhanced operating economics compared with older narrowbody types. This seventh delivery reflects the continued collaboration between ABL Aviation and Copa built up over successive aircraft transactions.

The delivery demonstrates ABL Aviation's ability to execute phased, multi-aircraft leasing programmes for major global carriers as airlines across the Americas pursue fuel-efficient narrowbody replacement strategies. For the sector, the transaction underscores continued lessor appetite for supporting Latin American carriers as regional fleets modernise toward newer-generation narrowbody aircraft.
